Rich, moist meatloaf made from ground Angus beef, savory seasonings, onions, tomato puree, and toasted breadcrumbs. Covered with zesty, hickory ketchup and either chunky tomato sauce or tempting beef gravy.
this is one of my favorite homestyle meals. the meatloaf reminds me of the formal dinners @ webb. normally i get an extra side of either creamed spinach or corn but i had to limit myself today so i won't fall into a meatloaf coma during my afternoon class. extra cornbread is a must for me too.
charbroiled beef and egg loaf served with rice. $5.70
i usually eat at this place once a week when i'm feeling for meat. i always order this with $3 extra meat.
i remember the first time i went here, it was cuz phoebe made me. i wanted to eat @ burger king across the street but the lady that works there convinced me to try something. i tried the beef and got hooked.
nowadays, i just walk in, give 'em the double-nod and they know what to do from there.
soft fried soft rice noodle with egg, chinese broccoli, and choice of beef, chicken, pork of shrimp (add $1.00). vegetarian style is also available. $5.25
this is my go-to dish when i'm not feeling anything spicy. i always pick out the chinese broccoli (just say no to greens) and then mix in some white rice. its like a thai party in your mouth.
moments later...
i give this dish a 4.5 smilie rating.

this weekend stan, phoebe and i went to Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles in long beach for my first time evar. i had the Carole C. Special which consisted of one succulent chicken breast, prepared with roscoe's secret recipe, and one delicious waffle.
not being from the deep south, i originally thought this would be too wierd of a combination. but obviously, this wasn't a problem...
Ahh, one of my favorite places to go to when I'm really really hungry.
This buffet is slightly different than your usual buffet. For lunch ($7.00), you tell the waitress what kinda meat you want and then she'll bring it to you uncooked. Each table has its own grill so you do all the cooking yourself.
For dinner ($11.00-ish), all of the uncooked meat is at the buffet bar with everything else.
They also have a selection of sushi for ya.
And of course, they have other stuff prepared. I personally always stock up on the fried rice and dumplings.
Okay, so when you have the meat, you can go ahead and start cookin'.
When its done, dip it in their hibatchi sauce and enjoy!!
So after getting your meat sweat on, you can cool down at their little dessert bar. The dessert isn't the most flavorful stuff in the world, but its sweet enough.
Genghis Kahn is located on Lincoln Ave., between Bloomfield and Moody in Hawaiian Gardens / Cypress. Its right across from a mortuary so its not hard to miss.
When I die, I wanna be buried at that mortuary so after you visit me, you can go across the street and feast in honor of me.
whoooaaaaaa. i just had animal fries from in-n-out for the first time. all you non-westcoast people won't know what i'm talking about but just imagine this: a large order of french fries loaded with secret sauce, cheese, grilled onions & pickles. sooooo fucking good.
my fat ass ain't gonna be around that long if i start eating this all the time.
