If you live in Southern California or you watch a lot of Food Network, you've certainly must have heard of Pink's Hot Dogs in Hollywood. It's one of those historic landmarks of Tinseltown, right up there with the Hollywood Sign and the Grauman's Chinese Theater.
Lines are infamously long...plan on waiting anywhere from 30 mins to 1.5 hours. But with all the varieties of dogs they offer, and the possible bonus of waiting in line with a celebrity, it's worth the wait. Here's a sample of the signature dogs they offer:
- The Today Show -- two hot dogs in one bun, mustard, onions, chili, cheese and guacamole.
- The Martha Stewart -- 10" stretch dog, relish, onions, bacon, chopped tomatoes, saurkraut and sour cream.
- The Mullholland Drive -- 10" stretch dog, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, nacho cheese and bacon.
- The Lord of the Rings -- 10" inch hot dog with onion rings and barbeque sauce.
- The Johnny Grant -- hot dog topped with yummy coleslaw and chopped tomatoes.
My past couple visits, I've tried out three dogs: the Bacon Chili Cheese Dog, the Lord of the Rings Dog and the Johnny Grant.
- An hour long wait? No problem.
